Janey Steward, Kristen Hillman, Margo Johnson, Owners of Liz & Honey
Janey Steward, Kristen Hillman and Margo Johnson, are sisters who all graduated from Highland Park and University of Texas and always dreamed of having a business together. They launched "Accessory Auctions" ten years ago on Facebook when Facebook auctions were becoming big. It was personally a terrible time to start a business, as Kristen and Janey were in the midst of having babies and Margo was still in college.
However, in God's perfect timing, they made it happen and were able to capitalize on the popularity of Facebook auctions at the time.
They shipped jewelry from their dining room tables and enlisted lots of help from their husbands! They quickly outgrew their "home offices" and rented warehouse space on McKinney.
Margo joined full time when she graduated, and over the years they launched a website and started selling clothing in addition to accessories.
They changed their name to Liz and Honey, which were the names they called their two grandmothers.
They were approached by Inwood Village to open a pop-up store a few years ago, and it was so successful that they decided to open their permanent location two doors down.
They love their store in Inwood Village and have been blessed to find Nancy, their amazing store manager who many of you know and love, and an adorable, awesome retail team!
They truly feel blessed that they get to work together as sisters and keep this business in their family. It has been a wild ride and lots of fun and they wouldn't trade it for anything!
