Vacation Spots other than Seaside by Lola Jahant
My family and I are definitely guilty of the annual trip down to 30A each summer, as are most families in the Park Cities. As I get ready to take this next step in my life and move to a new state, I realize just how many states I have not been to, and the vacation spots I have missed out on.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Cape Cod is a surprisingly overlooked vacation spot by families in the Park Cities. Known for its pleasantly cool weather, remarkable seafood, and wide range of family-orientated activities such as lighthouse tours and whale watching, Cape Cod guarantees to please everyone. Whitefish, Montana
The perfect destination for summer or winter, Whitefish is a gateway to heaven with its beautiful mountains, lakes, and glacier-carved valleys. Impeccable hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and biking activities, stellar local dining options, and golfing with outstanding views will leave your group wanting to revisit soon. Cinnamon Shores, Texas
Cinnamon Shores takes after Seaside as it is a small beach side town, busy with families and friends. Not only is this spot conveniently located, but it provides the ideal escape with its golf cart rentals (that are allowed to be taken directly on the beach), fishing and hunting opportunities, and beach bonfires.
While Seaside makes for a fun, family-friendly trip, I challenge you and your family and/or friends to venture to one of these three destinations or a new one in the years ahead. To learn more click here.
