Grab your boots, we’re going to Fort Worth with Tiffany Blackmon

A lot of people think Dallas/Fort Worth are one of the same which is far from the truth! As a Fort Worth native, I can tell you they are only 45 minutes apart, but have very different vibes and attractions.

Visiting Fort Worth has changed a lot in recent years because Fort Worth has developed and expanded and has added many new restaurants, shops and business centers. Since it’s been about 30 years since I lived there, I invited my new friend, Tiffany Blackmon of the My So Called Fabulous Podcast to join us to talk about all things “Cowtown”!

I have found that Fort Worth in many ways is like the Park Cities. Both have a quaint small town feel where everyone knows each other. I remember it didn’t matter where my dad went, he always knew someone. Both cities are centered around a college, SMU and TCU, with many alums living nearby and raising their families there. The school spirit runs deep and the town rallies on game days and can be seen walking from their homes to the games.  

As a big supporter of small local businesses, I love how each city embraces the small shops and often the shop owners have lived in there their entire life. I recently went to Fort Worth and asked Tiffany for a list of local stores which I visited and loved them. I have included links below.

I think it’s wonderful that we each can drive only 45 minutes to experience a different city and have new places to visit.
